Work Experience

2022-Present   Production potter and studio assistant, Georgetown Pottery, Georgetown, Maine

On a weekly basis mixing multiple 30 gallon batches of grolleg porcelain slip, slipcasting hundreds of pieces, pouring plaster molds, production throwing as well as general studio upkeep and cleaning. On an as needed basis would fill in to trim and refine pots, load and unload the industrial sized kilns. 

2018-2019   Apprentice, Seagrove Stoneware, Seagrove, North Carolina

Worked with David Fernandez and Alexa Moderno. Primarily did production throwing of smaller pieces, mixed clay and glaze, helped keep the studio clean and organized, loaded, fired, and unloaded kilns, ground finished pieces smooth, packed pottery for shipping/travel, minded gallery shop and any other project they needed.

2017-2018   Intern, Harvard University; Ceramics Program, Alston, Massachusetts 

Helped studio tech with maintenance and upkeep of kilns; wheels and work spaces, helped with kiln loads, scraping shelves, sorting work, and daily clean up of work spaces, rebuilt, recanvased work tables, cleaned and reset studio after end of semester. Worked on slab built vessels, a carved abstract design tile series, and a thrown functional pottery set.

2018   Intern, Farber Center; Soul Studio, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan

Taught special needs artists simple ceramics projects, made templates and plaster moulds for future projects. Loaded, fired, unloaded the kilns, reclaimed clay, managed glazes, reorganized and cleaned out the ceramic storage area.

2012 and 2015   Intern, Mudflat Studios, Somerville, Massachususetts

Helped studio techs load and fire both gas and electric kilns, scraping and washing shelves, cleaning work spaces daily, cleaning out gallery space and setting up new shows.
